I'm not a photographer, my camera is nothing special, and I'm not promising art, here. But the idea is to take one picture a day, every day, for a year. I hope to develop a better eye, get better at using my camera, and produce a day-by-day chronicle of 2010, my Year of Creating Dangerously.
The old Stapleton Control Tower Now getting all run-down on the outskirts of the Stapleton neighborhood. According to signs around it, it looks like they're getting ready to tear it down. I do love a self-captioning photo.
The Tiffany bulbs hard at work in our torchiere. I was sick as a dog all day today, and it was way past dark before I was able to get out of bed to do anything besides go to the bathroom. Came very close to no photo today, but here it is.
The Swan Boats Boston Public Garden There is some lore in my family about these boats from a trip to Boston when I was like two, but I don't remember why we talk about them.
I am trying not to abuse the whole flowers = Spring motif, but Denver is ablaze with tulips right this minute; they're everywhere! These, in my mom's backyard.
The media turned out for this Day of Action and informational picketing at DIA, and it was suggested that we could more effectively project our feelings about our contract and the state of negotiations if we didn't smile for photographs. Janelle and Randy are demonstrating their Serious Contract Faces here; somebody get these people a new and improved contract, please!
I am a novel-writing flight attendant in the midst of a reckless fling with the Short Story. My first novel, KISS ME, STRAIGHT, is currently looking to get published, and my second, the Mermaid Murder Mystery FOUND IN THE LOST CITY, hopes to be serialized soon. I keep flying because travel in general, and the airplane in particular, are self-renewing sources of amusement and inspiration.
